I lived in historic Annapolis as a child, then on to Pasadena, then on to my birthplace Oakland, and I have family throughout the entire state. I think it is one of the most beautiful states in the country. Everything is within a few hours drive…from the city life to the serene country side and scenic rivers. I love this state and hope it stays protected.

I moved away from my beautiful home state 15 years ago. Almost instantly I realized what I had left behind and was tasked with returning ‘home’. It took a long journey from Arizona, to New Jersey, and finally back to Maryland. It was May 2012 when I was finally home again. I had missed the morning glories which grow so beautifully here, so I planted them as soon as I was settle in....

America in miniature is the perfect description for Maryland. The beach. The bay. The ocean. The mountains. Our rivers. Crabs. Old Bay. The history that happened on Maryland soil in our Country’s infancy. I celebrate March 25th by wearing the colors of our flag with a bouquet of black eyed susies. I may not be living in Maryland now but it will always be home to me. The greatest of the...

I met the love of my life in Maryland! The two of us share a passion for the arts, and love the many performances and exhibitions that the area has to offer. She took me to see my first opera, LA BOHEME, at the Lyric Opera House in Baltimore, and we are subscribers to Centerstage. One day, we’d love to raise a family here, knowing that our children will have access to the best schools and...

I love Maryland because of the Charm City Roller Girls who embody the State’s motto of “fatti maschii, parole femine” — strong deeds, gentle words — while it is clear that these women are warriors on the track, they also speak out for their community by supporting such causes as Moveable Feast and the Craig Willinger Fund. *Photo credit to Tyler Shaw*
